Why Choose Painting and Drawing?

1. Find New Creative Freedom and Relaxation: Learn new techniques in mark making, painting and drawing that you can take away from the workshop to explore further in your own time. Drawing and painting can be wonderful tools for relaxation, during and beyond the workshop.

2. Work in Nature: With the option to work en plein air (outside) using the Desa property as a starting point for inspiration this workshop is a great way to connect with nature.

3. Discover Flow: Learning to engage in an arts practice can help to develop ‘flow’, being immersed in a feeling of energised focus and enjoyment of the process. It’s a wonderful way to get away from an overactive mind.

4. Expert Instruction: Andrea Shaw is an experienced multi-disciplinary artist and designer with skillsets across a range of arts mediums and a passion for using art for therapeutic purposes.
