On Saturday, December 16th, we invite you and your little ones to embark on a creative journey that’s as enchanting as it is delicious.
Here’s a glimpse of what to expect when you join us for this festive extravaganza:
- Time Slots: We understand that schedules can be hectic during the holiday season, so we’ve thoughtfully arranged three 1-hour workshops to choose from. Whether you prefer the early morning magic from 9-10am, the midday delight at 11-12am, or the afternoon adventure at 1-2pm, we’ve got you covered.
- Price: For just $75 per child, your little one can partake in this delightful experience that includes all the materials they need to craft their very own gingerbread masterpiece.
- Workshop Size: To ensure a personalized and immersive experience, each workshop is limited to 10 children, allowing our talented instructors to provide individual attention and guidance.
- Materials: Your child will have access to all the necessary materials and ingredients to create their gingerbread house, making the process hassle-free and enjoyable.
- Take Home: The best part? Your young artist will take home their completed gingerbread house, ready to display as a cherished holiday decoration or savor as a sweet treat.
- Flavour Options: We offer a choice between the traditional sweet gingerbread house or a more natural, low-sugar version adorned with edible flowers, nuts, and dried fruits. Let your child’s preferences shine through their creation.
- Age Requirement: Safety and supervision are paramount. Children under the age of 5 must be accompanied by an adult or an older sibling over the age of 12. This ensures that everyone can fully enjoy the workshop in a secure and supportive environment.

Chef Vivienne, affectionately known as “Chef Viv,” is not only a qualified pastry chef, but grew up in Germany. So, she is fully qualified to be your delightful guide for the Gingerbread House Making Workshop.
As a mom and a chef, Chef Viv understands the joy of sharing the kitchen with little ones. With her expertise, she knows just how to engage children in the creative world of gingerbread house crafting. Chef Viv will be there to lead and inspire your young chefs, ensuring that the workshop is not only a sweet experience but also an educational adventure they’ll cherish.

We are located at Desa Retreat Studio – 12 Ocean Boulevard, Jan Juc, Victoria 3228.
Parking within the property via Ocean Boulevard or Broadbeach Road gate. If parking outside, we kindly ask you to choose the nature-strip and avoid parking on the street for safety reasons.

No, the price remains the same, regardless of the gingerbread house version you choose.

Please let us know about any dietary restrictions or allergies when booking, and we will do our best to accommodate special requirements.
4. Will there be refreshments available for parents or guardians during the workshop?
Chef Viv is always happy to provide refreshments, so whilst this isn’t a catered event, there is always the opportunity for snacks 😉
5. What's the cancellation policy?
Cancellations made 7 days or more before the workshop date will receive a full refund. Cancellations within 7 days are non-refundable but may be transferable to another participant.
