The Yoga Studio
The Studio is 8.2m x 6.8m plus an extra 2.5m x 1.6m for the kitchenette area. It’s suitable for hiring for private appointments and small classes. Up to 35 people can be seated on cushions/blankets/bolsters (kirtan/meditation), or 21 people on yoga mats.
It has private access via double timber external doors that can be pinned open on the deck, whilst keeping two internal timber fly screen doors closed. This allows for lovely airflow on a warm day. It is a cosy space with four infrared heating panels that can be adjusted to suit the ideal temperature for your offering.
Hiring the Deśa studio space also includes the outdoor paved meditation area, firepit and lawn. You are free to use these spaces as you choose. We will just ask for you to provide a running sheet.
The Studio and outdoor spaces are available to be used from 6 am until 9 pm, and as such, the day is broken up into three blocks of five hours. Times need to be calculated to include your setup and breakdown times, allowing time for the Studio to be swept and steam mopped.

Studio Hire Rates
Studio hire is for a minimum of two hours and is charged at $45 per hour if less than a full block of time.
Should you need additional hours outside a block of time, it will be charged at the hourly rate of $45 per hour and as such, the day is broken up into three blocks of five hours.
Times need to be calculated to include your setup and breakdown times, allowing time for the Studio to be swept and steam mopped.

6. Can I access the outdoor spaces as well when I rent the studio?
Yes, when you rent the studio at Desa Retreat, you also have access to the outdoor paved meditation area, fire pit, and the lush lawn. These spaces can be used to complement your event; we only ask that you provide a running sheet for your activities.
7. What are the available time slots for renting the studio?
The studio and outdoor spaces are available for use from 6 am until 9 pm. The day is divided into three blocks of five hours each. Please factor in setup and breakdown times when planning your event.
8. Are chairs or tables provided in the studio?
Chairs and tables are not provided in the studio. The studio is typically furnished with yoga equipment and cushions.
9. Is self-catering allowed for externally facilitated retreats?
Self-catering is not permitted for externally facilitated retreats. We offer catering services, and meals are preferably served in the dining area, in the villas, or outside in the garden.
10. What is the reservation and cancellation policy for studio hire?
To secure your booking, a 50% deposit of the total hire fee is required. The balance is due 14 days before your booking date. Cancellation policies may vary, so please review the specific terms and conditions provided during the booking process.
Know Before You Book
- Chairs or tables are not provided in the Studio.
- Food and drinks are preferably not consumed (except for herbal tea and water) in the studio.
- If you are opting in for our catering services, most food will be served in the dining area, in the villas or outside in the garden.
- Self-catering is not permitted for externally facilitated retreats.
- Yoga mats (21), blocks (26), bolsters (16), meditation cushions (30), straps (22), eye pillows (16) and, cork balls (16), blankets (20) are provided and available for respectful use.
- To secure your booking, a 50% deposit of the total hire fee is payable. The balance is due 14 days before your booking date.
- Cancellation Policy – Cancellation less than 30 days and more than 14 days before your venue hire date – Your deposit will not be refunded, however you may be able to reschedule your event to another date or received a credit to be used within twelve months of your booking date. Cancellations less than 14 days prior to your booking are non-refundable nor transferable.
- External facilitators running their own yoga or other movement-based retreats, classes or workshops need to be covered by their own Professional & Public Liability Insurance. A Certificate of Currency needs to be submitted with your booking form.
