Why Choose Digital Art Making?

1. Learn a new skill: Learn the basics of the digital art making app, Procreate. In this workshop you will learn how to start a project and how to use the simple tools to draw and paint digitally, either adding details to your photos or creating your own original drawings and paintings. It’s also a playful way to share art you have created with friends and family.

2. Have an immersive creative tool with you at any time: Learning to use your iPad as a sketchbook means you don’t always have to set up to start an art activity. Once you have an Apple pencil (or stylus) you are ready to open Procreate and get painting and drawing whenever your iPad is close by. It’s a wonderful creative tool to learn and play with at any time.

3. Discover Flow and Personal expression: Learning to engage in an arts practice can help to develop ‘flow’, being immersed in a feeling of energised focus and enjoyment of the process. It’s a wonderful way to get away from an overactive mind.

4. Expert Instruction: Andrea Shaw is an experienced multi-disciplinary artist and designer with skillsets across a range of arts mediums and a passion for using art for therapeutic purposes.
