Why Choose Collage and Mood Boards?

1. Get playful and have some fun: Collage, cut and paste, scrapbooking, photo montage, whatever you want to call it is FUN. Find inspiration from varied sources, colours, themes or just rip and stick paper to create a piece of abstract art. The process can be varied, messy and playful or very considered and neat. The options are endless. You’ll be guided to create something that feels right for you.

2. Discover something about yourself: By discovering what images we are drawn to include in our collage or mood boards can teach us new things about our interests or maybe even hopes for the future. It can be a great exercise to learn a little more about ourselves and express this in a visual way.

3. Find Flow: Learning to engage in any arts practice can help to develop ‘flow’, being immersed in a feeling of energised focus and enjoyment of the process. It’s a wonderful way to get away from an overactive mind.

4. Expert Instruction: Andrea Shaw is an experienced multi-disciplinary artist and designer with skillsets across a range of arts mediums and a passion for using art for therapeutic purposes.
