Children’s Mindfulness Classes
Deśa Retreat owner, Emma, offers mindfulness classes based on the principles of Trauma Centre Trauma Sensitive Yoga to children and teens, to help young people develop the skills they need to maintain a healthy, happy mind.
These classes present the basics of mindfulness in an easy to understand and playful way, and introduce practical skills and strategies utilising breath, sound and movement.
Your child will learn:
• strategies to handle big emotions
• techniques that improve concentration
• Explore their creativity
• the importance of kindness to self and others
• The power of the mind, and wisdom housed in the body.
These classes may involve both time inside the purpose-built studio and also in the beautiful Deśa Garden.
Classes $80 per hour for people aged 18 and under – parents are welcome to attend.
